Severance Agreements/Severance Packages
A major component of my practice is the negotiation of severance agreements on behalf of employees. Most of the employees I represent are executives and high-level employees who are seeking to maximize their severance pay without undue delay.
Clients benefit from my 29 years of employment law experience with negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation. My extensive experience with employment law disputes has given me the ability to quickly size up a situation and analyze the best way to negotiate for an improved severance package.
Although I do offer litigation services at my offices in Denver and Boulder, Colorado, most of my clients are seeking a quick resolution so they may have money in hand in the short term. In many cases, I have been able to successfully obtain improved severance agreements on behalf of clients in a short period of time. My experience in negotiating severance agreements within a wide range of employment fields allows me to quickly size up an employer and determine how the likely approach to compensating an exiting employee.
In addition to severance agreements, I am also pleased to assist employees in the negotiation of non-competition agreements. I can review a non-competition agreement and provide advice, or I can negotiate for better terms on your behalf. Some of the key issues with non-competition agreements include geographical limitations, time limitations and service limitations.
